Do It Again!

There I was, back at the alter praying for the same person-same situation AGAIN. Calling out to God and warring in the spirit with those who were hurting, broken, and needing The Lord to move in certain areas of their lives. Can I just be honest and say I have caught myself asking, "Why cant they just get it? When will they ever learn? How many times will he/she do this to themselves? Why do they put up with this? Do they not know better? Why should I help AGAIN?"
As I was having this argument with The Lord, He revealed to me how quick we are to respond and comfort those whose past (or current circumstances) have yet to be revealed to us. We hear their story-are moved by it, and agree that we will join them at the alter crying out to God on their behalf. We instantly go to war with them. That’s great right? Is that not what we are called to do? After all, James 5:16 does tell us to "confess our sins one to another and pray for one another...the prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much". On the other hand, if we are aware of the current circumstances and/or past failures of the one asking for prayer, too many times it results in us choosing to let them fight their own battles because we believe they have had too many chances. I hear things said like, "he/she should have conquered this by now" or "I don't feel sorry for them because they keep making the same mistakes over and over" or my favorite, "they don't ever listen to what they are told anyway so why help AGAIN?".
HELLO!!!! Are we not called to be Christ like? Are we not to love others as Christ loves us? The bible even tells us to forgive seventy times seven!!

It was in this moment of revelation that I just began to weep. God was revealing how perfect His love is for me! How much grace and mercy that He gives us when we truly don't deserve it! I am so thankful that God CHOOSES to forgive me! He picks me up, ministers to me, loves on me, and takes me back time and time again after I have failed. He knows EVERYTHING yet desires to never give up on me! We need to come to a place where we no longer look at the flesh (faults of those around us) but instead we decide to look at the soul- the one in which God loves and sent His only Son to die on the cross for. I will be the first to admit I am guilty. God forgive us and let us continually fight for one another no matter the circumstances. Reveal to us your perfect love and may we begin to place value on the eternity of winning souls. God let us not take lightly the gift of salvation. The truth is--we are all human! We mess up more often than not. Our deepest hurts come from those whom we are closest to and we fail those who we love the most unintentionally. But, we have the choice to make- give up on them or continue loving them until they make it. You never know, there could easily come a day when you find you are the one not strong enough within yourself to defeat the giant standing before you or speak to the mountain to be removed. It might take you experiencing your own difficult event in order for you to make the right choice!
Chose to love again, forgive again, and advance ”The Kingdom” AGAIN!!
In His Grip,
